It has been such a wonderful birthday. My family went to Vegas for my brother’s law school graduation. I am so exhausted but am so happy I got to spend my birthday with my crazy and loving family.
I am so proud of my brother for achieving his goal. He is a husband, a father of 3, and a full time worker at the IRS. He served in the army for 4 years. He has a Bachelors and masters degree in Accounting and now a law degree. He is one of the most amazing men I know. He’s a psycho but I am unbelievably proud to call him my brother.

Pretty sure these were my exact measurements before I got pregnant. I weighed the lowest I had since about age 16.
But I’m also 5’10-11”ish.
We need more women like this in magazines and TV. Plain and simple.
Study Break
Just taking a quick break to… I guess update whoever still reads my blog what’s been going on with me. Let’s see:
- Started my last quarter of college- EVER. Well, maybe not ever. But undergrad stuff at least. I’m only taking two classes: a Latin American and Latino Studies class called Transnational Feminist Organizing in the Americas, it’s a lower division class so the work load is pretty light; and an upper division sociology course, Sociology of Emotions… pretty standard on the work load, kind of a lot actually… but the teacher is really understanding and nice about spur of the moment shit/emergencies…so if I go into preterm labor or whatever she’ll be understanding.
- I’ve had most of my big ultra sounds/big tests and such.. the last one was the gestational diabetes one. And I passed. Woo for not having the diabetes.
- I have decided, along with a good friend, to take a break from facebook. 30 days. So far it hasn’t been too bad. I’ve been able to get a lot of work done with school and such. I was just feeling so depressed all the time by seeing some of my closest friends go out all the time but never have the decency to ask me to lunch one day. IDK— I just feel like if you have time to get hammered, or go to giants games, or the beach, or whatever it is… you have time to at least make some effort to hang out. IDK. I’ve just been depressed I guess lately- weird right? Thought so.
- Uhhhhhh… what else? My mother ordered our crib for baby girl. So when she comes she’s got somewhere to sleep!
- I’m 26 weeks… only 14 more to go (CRAZY)
I’ve got to head back to my studies… MEH. I guess I don’t have much to tell that’s so exciting. Sometimes I miss my life before… but I know when she’s here the realization that this was meant to be will come over me. I was meant to go down this path. I just need to adjust and get use to that—somehow.

This movie came out the two years before I was born. I watched it constantly as a toddler to child and even teenager (my sister is 10 years older than me, so lucky for me, I didn’t really miss out on the 80s because I watched what she watched). I own it on DVD and watch it every few months.
I love Corey Feldman so much.
Correction: I love the Corey’s, plural. Except, my love for Corey Feldman runs a little deeper for Corey Haim (it broke my heart when I heard he passed away last year).
